Recently, it became clear to me that in order to stand out as a designer I would need to expand my repertroire of skills.

Illustrator and Photoshop are old friends of mine, but I was ready for a new crowd. Adobe After Effects seemed like an interesting choice.

I looked into what it could do and was immediately intrigued. But when I began to ask friends or other designers what they thought of the program, I was surprised by how many people told me they didn’t like it or couldn’t figure out how to use it or thought it was irrelevant.
